The International Academy of Advanced Conducting after Ilia Musin, and Burgos International Music Festival announce a unique opportunity for conductors of all professional levels, age, gender or race to experience intensive study of advanced orchestral conducting styles with an internationally recognized faculty. Participants will have ample daily podium time to learn advanced conducting techniques based on repertoire selection. Ensembles and orchestra will be available for sessions and performances during the workshops. All sessions will be videotaped and reviewed by faculty following participant's rehearsal. Public performances will be held during the program at the end of each workshop.
Internationally recognized faculty include:
Dr. Leonid Korchmar (professor St. Petersburg Conservatory of music, conductor of Mariinski Theatre, RF)
Dr. Oleg Proskurnya (TAMUK, director of Kingsville Symphony Orchestra, TX) and Prof. Scott Woodard (WVU).

All participants will receive individual coaching (besides podium sessions) on the works they will conduct and will have master classes in score study, rehearsal preparation and orchestral techniques. Interested individuals should send a completed application, $75 (nonrefundable) application fee, short resume (or bio) and videotape, if available (including the clear indication of which part of program they would like to attend - one or both).

Participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis and number of participants is limited. Academy provides assistance with visa, travel advisement, and accommodation. Participants should bring their own scores for selected repertoire.
